New personnel changes are on the horizon at Fressnapf. After it was announced in the summer that financial investor Cinven would be taking a minority stake in Fressnapf, CEO Dr Johannes Steegmann had already left the company. Now there have been reports in various media that Dr Matthias Bauer, Senior Vice President Customer Experience since May 2020, has also left the company. Industry experts expect further personnel changes at the Krefeld-based omnichannel retailer in the coming months.
According to reports, Dr Jens Pippig is to take over Bauer's responsibilities in a newly created structure in which the Marketing/Customer Experience teams and the idea generator unit fnx, previously headed by Dr Jens Pippig, will be merged into one organisational unit. Bauer joined Fressnapf from Obi in 2020. He worked for the DIY store operator for 15 years, most recently as Managing Director Digital.
Prior to that, Bauer was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. Pippig has been Managing Director of fnx since March 2022. He was previously Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates.
