German pet food manufacturer Seitz is expanding its warehouse and production capacity at the company’s headquarters close to Bremen. The new facility, which will commence operating at the start of next year, has a high-bay system and a cold store for raw materials of animal and vegetable origin.
“We want to be closer to our production and increase delivery security further for our customers,” says Max Graf Kerssenbrock, chairman of the Seitz management team. The capacity distributed previously to external warehouses will be largely brought together in the new facility in Langwedel.
A flexible energy concept is also being implemented in the building, which permits energy to be supplied via either gas or oil. The ultra-modern, eco-friendly refrigeration plant along with an energy recovery system will ensure maximum energy efficiency.
